2008 FM Simplex Contest Results MRAC recognized by the ARRL for 90 years of affiliation Welcome The Board of Directors of the Milwaukee Radio Amateurs’ Club, Inc. (MRAC) takes great pleasure in welcoming you to our Website. The MRAC is one of the oldest amateur radio clubs in the world, having been incorporated in 1917 and affiliated with ARRL (The National Association for Amateur Radio) in 1919. Over the years, MRAC has sponsored an ARRL national convention, acted as QSL manager for a Space Shuttle SAREX (Shuttle Amateur Radio Experiment) mission and conducted classes in all grades of amateur radio licenses. We currently meet on a monthly basis, own and operate a repeater, conduct roundtable nets on 10 and 2 meters, operate in an annual radio contest known as Field Day, publish a monthly newsletter and sponsor a local sprint contest known as the MRAC FM Simplex Contest. By the way, we are one of only 14 Volunteer Examiner Coordinators (VEC) in the US. Our next VE testing session will be at Amateur Electronic Supply on Saturday, May 31st at 9:30am. We would like to invite you to attend our one meetings, become a member and possibly volunteer in some club activity. Oh, and by the way, bring a friend to the meeting too. Our meetings are held on the last Thursday of the month at 7:00pm located in the Fellowship Hall of Redemption Lutheran Church 4057 N. Mayfair Rd. Milwaukee, Wisconsin. At our next club meeting on Thursday, May 29th - The Annual Club Auction.
