This year’s contest was held on Sunday, February 22, 2026. The 2026 MRAC FM Simplex Contest saw some fantastic activity across the bands, with great participation from local clubs and individual operators alike.

We saw strong performances across the Base, Mobile, and HT categories this year. Thank you to all the stations that submitted their logs online—it immensely helps with the scoring.

We are always looking for additional volunteers for the contest committee. I want to thank everyone who participated and helped make this year’s contest a success!

AA9RK – It was great to hear activity at such a high level. 6m conditions were not great, but 2/220/440 all sounded great.

W9ETH – Shoutout to N9EEL for letting me borrow the FTM-100DR! Much improved digital performance over the FT2D. This was also the first year using the IC-910H.

AB9C – I had a lot of fun this year. I worked outside my home, so it was new to operate from a park on an HT with a rollup j-pole on a 20 ft mast. Kept it fresh and new, even if I didn’t have an HT for 6M and 1.25M
