The Board of Directors of the Milwaukee Radio Amateurs’ Club, Inc. (MRAC) takes great pleasure in welcoming you to our Website.  The MRAC is one of the oldest amateur radio clubs in the world, having been incorporated in 1917 and affiliated with ARRL (The National Association for Amateur Radio) in 1919.  On March 28, 2008 we were recognized by the ARRL for 89 years of affiliation with the league.  Over the years, MRAC has sponsored an ARRL national convention, acted as QSL manager for a Space Shuttle SAREX (Shuttle Amateur Radio Experiment) mission and conducted classes in all grades of amateur radio licenses.  We were a VE in 1983, became a VEC in 1984 and retired in 2008.

We currently meet on a monthly basis, own and operate a repeater, conduct roundtable nets on 10 and 2 meters, operate in an annual radio contest known as Field Day, publish a monthly newsletter and sponsor a local sprint contest known as the MRAC FM Simplex Contest.

In addition to the website, you can also find club information by joining our yahoo group at the following location:  MRAC-W9RH.

Are you interested in a license class? Send an email to the Board of Directors to let them know what class you are interested in.

We would like to invite you to attend our meetings, become a member and possibly volunteer in some club activity.  Oh, and by the way, bring a friend to the meeting too.  Our meetings are held on the last Thursday of the month at 7:00 pm (November and December may be a week earlier if it conflicts with a holiday).  We are in search of a new meeting location, at this time. Watch for more details.

We hope that you have found our website to be useful and informative, 73.
