There are a variety of reasons why you would want a 2-meter quad antenna? Which of these resonate with you?
- increasing signal strength in a specific direction
- POTA or SOTA, or other portable uses
- directionality for fox hunting
- triangulating repeater offenders
- because it invites questions like “what’s that?” to which you can explain amateur radio
