The 2023 Simplex Contest was held on February 26th. This year, we had great weather again for the Rover stations, with a high temperature of 45 degrees and sunny skies.  There was good activity on the bands, with several new callsigns heard.  While we had nice activity on the air, we only had 12 log submissions from 2 different local clubs. 13 additional stations were working the contest, and they did not submit their log.  We again had several ties for band awards this year. The Rover team of K9FI and K9WOC did a great job activating grids and keeping the activity level high on all the bands. This year’s digital activity saw almost equal contacts for Fusion and Dstar. It was good to see the growth of these modes this year.
